Who are we
It all started with an appeal in the newspaper of 21-9-1979. The first meeting 
was on Nov 10. The invitation was accompanied by a nice route description. 
The Werkgroep Fossielen Wageningen was founded when a group of individuals decided to turn their shared interests into an official Geology Club. After a few quick encounters, we were on our way to creating something extraordinary. In 2000, the Werkgroep Fossielen Wageningen was officially converted into an association. 
Over time, we have grown into a serious and mature organization, enabling us to take our interests to the next level. When you decide to join us, you gain access to various events and, more importantly, to a community of people as passionate as you are. There is also a newsletter to keep members informed of current affairs and developments.

Department of the Dutch Geological Society
The working group is an association that deals with paleontology in the broadest sense of the word. Since the spring of 2016, we have been a member of the Dutch Geological Society as a department. The members are amateurs with diverse interests, who like to collect fossils in their spare time and who want to do something with them: preparing, identifying, getting to know backgrounds, exhibiting, etc. Through a monthly club evening and regularly going on a search given interpretation to this. Fossil fair
From 2015 tot 2023 where we together with the Paleobiological Circle and Fossiel.net the organizers of the international fossil fair Paleotime.nl. 

Membership
Read more about membership. The annual contribution depends on the situation and whether more people who live at the same address want to become a member. Children up to the age of 18 can join as guests.
