Over het evenement
There is no richer source of plant fossils than the coal seams of the Late Carboniferous. At that time, large parts of the world were covered with swamp, in which plants and trees thrived, partly thanks to the favorable climate. This lecture gives an overview of what fossils can be found, arranged according to the main groups: dewclaws, horsetails, ferns, seed ferns and cordaiten.
As examples, mainly self-found fossils are shown, where the sites are also reviewed. There are also some critters passing by.
Unfortunately, I cannot bring the chests with fossils. But nice to see you again!
